Claire has been extremely busy with her Royal duties over the last few months, having held the position of Royal harpist for just over a year, she has already performed on more than 30 occasions for His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and The Royal Family. As well as several performances in Clarence House, St James’ Palace, and Windsor Castle, Claire was honored to perform for the first time since her appointment in Buckingham Palace for a private dinner on July 7th, attended by Her Majesty The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, The Aga Khan, HRH The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, and several other immediate members of the Royal Family.
During The Prince of Wales’ annual Wales Week tour, Claire accompanied Their Royal Highnesses on various engagements throughout the country, including a performance at the new Welsh Royal residence Llwynywermod, near Llandovery, and a special solo performance at a gala dinner held for members of the Welsh Assembly at the spectacular setting of Caerphilly Castle where Claire is pictured above. This was to celebrate His Royal Highness’ 50th year as Prince of Wales and also to showcase Claire as a recipient of the Arts Council of Wales Advanced Study Music Awards 2008 for Wales’ most outstanding young talent.
