Deuos, meaning ‘Two’ in Welsh, combines the talents of classical chart topping former Royal Harpist, Claire Jones and renowned Percussionist and Composer Chris Marshall.
Deuos have performed as soloists with some of the World’s leading orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Welsh Proms, English Chamber Orchestra and London Mozart Players. They have performed recitals at prestigious festivals and venues internationally, highlights include the Henley Festival, Llangollen International Festival, St Davids Hall Cardiff, Isabel Bader Center Canada, Booker Hall -Richmond VA USA and Tivoli Theatre Lisbon.
Last year, Deuos premiered a double concerto for harp and percussion written by Chris Marshall with conductor Alexander Kordzaia and the Richmond University Symphony Orchestra, Richmond VA. Deuos in 2019 also performed with platinum selling artist and X Factor star Rhydian Roberts at the Brangwyn Hall Swansea. This performance also featured Britain’s Got Talent finalist and Can I Gymru winner Gruffydd Wyn. Deuos performed the finale concert at the Camac Harp festival in Cardiff and the Royal Hall Harrogate in 2018 and also toured their show ‘Hands of Fire’ across the UK. In 2020, they performed to a sell out crowd in Central London during a collaborative performance with the mighty London Welsh Male Voice Choir and their conductor Edward-Rhys Harry.
Future plans include further performances of the double concerto in the USA and UK, show spectaculars at Bluestone Pembrokeshire and the release of their brand new debut album in 2021.
'‘Genuinely mesmerising... Chris and Claire are magicians working their magic, so quick were their hand movements, fingers a blur, their “Hands of Fire” handle wholly justified’’…..
